Creating this blog is a personal endeavor by me - Simon Steiner . While there are a lot of great blogs that focus primarily on the programming side of the data analysis, this blogs' principles are to apply the analysis only on real-world data, and to cover every aspect of the data analysis process by dividing the analysis into three distinct sections:

The Domain section describes the topic of the analysis. With the blog's focus on energy, this section will provide some in-depth information to understand why the analysis is of relevance. The Method section describes the approach to extract relevant information from the raw data. This primarily focuses on conventional mathematical or statistical procedures. The Technology section describes the programming involved to process the data and conduct the analysis. I am primarily using SQL and Python, as well as some R for the analysis.

So, I hope you enjoy it!
